Having always had a passion for bird watching and the beauty that nature offers, from small insects to stunning foliage, Belgian photographer, Bart Heirweg, began documenting it at the age of 18. Two years later, after a realization that his camera was now his preferred tool, he put down his binoculars and dedicated his full attention to photography.

Since picking up my first camera, the Nikon F50, I have always been a Nikon user. A turning point in my career was when I invested in my first DSLR camera, the D800E, which at the time was revolutionary for landscape photographers, and my kit has continued to impress me ever since. My kitbag currently consists of the Z 9 and Z 7, and I can’t wait to get my hands on the new NIKKOR Z 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 VR S to complete my Nikon Z kit.
